Maria Lamance
Maria joined HMD in 2002. At three, she started her ballet lessons. At 14, she moved away from home to study full-time at the San Francisco Ballet School. Many injuries and pair of pointe shoes later, Maria discovered modern dance at San Francisco State University. Maria has enjoyed performing for Kate Corby and Dancers, Heidi Schweiker, Jenice Acosta, and Lea Wolf, among others. Maria is an Assistant Director and Choreographer for San Jose Dance Theatre, and a teacher of ballet and Russian character dance to children and adults. Maria is also a fine footwear saleswoman extraordinaire and a certified massage therapist.
